This tool is for easier pushing out the lock pins from the weapon body and for removal of the magazine release button, if you need to remove that.

The tool is made of aluminum which is CNC machined and the parts that are in contact with the lock pins and the magazine release button are in solid plastic (delrin).

The plastic parts is for prevents scratches on the weapon when taking out the lock pins and the magazine release button.

Field test / In action

The airsoft weapons we have tested the tool with are King Arms M4A1 (KA-AG-20), Dboys M4A1 and Tokyo Marui M733.

If we begin with the end that is for to pushing out the lock pins, that pin works very good. When you pushing out a lock pin, you cannot pushing them out completely because it will be stopped by a thicker pin above. This just for prevent that the lock pin fly away. If the lock pin is jammed you can to advantage use a rubber mallet hammer to knock out with.

The plastic pin for pushing down the magazine release button also works good.

Conclusions

We like this tool and it’s good to have in its toolbox if you need to repair or upgrade your weapon. The tool is not neccessary to have because a common screwdriver can do this work as good. But this tool faciliate the moments and because of the plastic ends it prevents scratches on the lower receiver, lock pins and the magazine release button. Maybe you feel that the price is too high for a simple tool (about $ 24 from retailers), but it’s a tool with good quality.

We have not compared this tool with other similar tools on the market, also our opinions based entirely on this product.
