En uppdatering om AK5C Airsoft

Vi precis som många andra undrar hur det går med Josh namninsamling för att förmå G&G Armament att tillverka en AK5C.

Förut gjorde vi en intervju med honom, men nu gör vi en uppföljning för att få reda på hur det gått hittills.

Daniel:
(Airsoft.nu)		 It has been some months since you started the petition to get G&G Armament to build an Airsoft weapon that looks like the Swedish AK5, how is it going?
–
Josh: Well, as of today (21st October 2011) we have 275 Signatures, which I think is fanstastic considering it has only been active for about 3 months. I have been in contact with G&G who have acknowledged the petition and have revealed to me that they have plans to go ahead with it, hopefully within the next year.

Daniel: That’s very good, are most of all petitors from Sweden, or which country’s Airsoft community is most interested in the AK5C?

Josh: I have received the most support from AirsoftSverige, who have welcomed the proposal warmly, and most of the names I spot on the list are probably Swedish, However, I have received quite a lot of support from the UK, USA and Canada, wherein a retailer said he would love to sell these AK5Cs his store.

Daniel: That sounds goodI think because the real steel gun is used by the Swedish Army, you get most of your petitiors from here.

Do you have anything to add before end of the interview?
–
Josh: If people would like to sign the petition, we’ll include a link, we hope for 1000 Signatures by the end of the year. G&G have confirmed that the gun is in the works and hopes to make this one to the utmost level of realism, the status of the propriatary Aimpoint Red Dot sight that accompanies the Ak5C is still unknown, but they said the gun is likely to be released sometime next year.

Vill du ha en AK5C?

Några år efter att Försvarsmakten mer eller mindre övergett AK5 i standardutförande och i stället gjort om dem till AK5C släppte tillverkaren G&G Armament airsoftvapnet GF85 som till stor del ser ut som AK5an.

Josh är en kille från Storbrittanien som har startat en namninsamling med 1000 stycken namnunderskrifter som mål för att förmå någon tillverkare att göra en AK5C eller ett konverteringskit till GF85an. Josh har länge varit intresserad av den svenska Försvarsmakten och exempelvis spelat datorspelet Operation Flashpoint Resistence med moden Swedish Forces Pack, Battlefield 1942 med moden Silent Heroes nuförtiden Armed Assault 2 med moden Swedish Forces Pack 5.

Från början ville han ha en AK5 (GF85) men eftersom att han föredrar milsim och därmed vill ha allt så realistiskt och up-to-date som möjligt vill han ha en AK5C nu när Försvarsmakten uppgraderat.

Han tycker det är roligt att det gått så fort att få in så många namnunderskrifter. Det är digitala namnunderskrifter som innebär att man loggar in sig och registrerar sitt intresse med hjälp av sitt Facebook-konto på en speciell sida med många olika namninsamlingar för allt möjligt.

I skrivande stund är det ett 40-tal som har anmält sitt intresse och Josh tror att namninsamlingen  uppnått 1000 namn senast i slutet av det här året.

Josh använder för närvarande det tyska kamouflaget Flecktarn och har en målsättning att se ut som en tysk fallskärmsjägare, även om utrustningen är inte är riktigt klar än. När det gäller airsoftvapen har han en Classic Army G36 med foregrip samt en Star G36C som reserv om det förstnämnda skulle krångla.

Update 2011-07-26: A summary in English for our international visitors;

Josh is a guy from the United Kingdom who has set up a petition for the much sought after Swedish Army AK5C rifle to be produced in Airsoft replica form. Josh has long been a fan of the Swedish Forces, having played the Swedish Mods for Battlefield 1942, Operation Flashpoint and ArmA2.

The petition is aimed at Airsoft manufacturers to produce the Swedish Ak5C and accessories, and it has done surprisingly well, attracting 95 signatures in only 5 days of existence. The petition is looking for 1000 names, however going over that mark will only increase the likelihood of an airsoft manufacturer taking it on.
