SPEED Adjustable Nut Wrench
The Canadian company SPEED Airsoft have specialized in various innovative tools (Pro tools) and parts for airsoft weapons. We have tested the tools SPEED Delta Ring Wrench (#SA2068), SPEED M4/M16 Tool (#SA2096) and SPEED Adjustable Nut Wrench (#SA2078). The tools are designed for M4/M16 weapons.

The tool comes in a plastic box. On the back there is information about the tool and what it used to.
Appearance and Build Quality

This tool is for loosen or tighten the buffer tube / castle nut who is around the stock on the receiver of the weapon and other similar nuts (Madbull barrel nut and others). To get the tool to fit all possible nut sizes it’s possible to change the diameter width, between 30 and 45 mm (1.18 to 1.77 inches).
You can either have the movable part loose so the width can be adjusted by simply dragging, or you can lock the movable part (it was from the factory) but they you need an Hex key/Allen Key 2 mm.
The tool consists of three pieces aluminum parts which is CNC machined and then assembled with screws.

The airsoft weapons we have tested the tool with are King Arms M4A1 (KA-AG-20), Dboys M4A1 and Tokyo Marui M733 (but not applicable on this).
The tool’s two hardened drive pins hooks the nuts good when the width is adjusted.
Conclustions
The SPEED Adjustable Nut Wrench looks good, feels solid and it’s easy to work with. It’s also good that the tool is allowed to fit nuts with different widths.
Many of us have already Allen keys at home (or in the Airsoft workshop…) but we think that an Allen key should be included for this tool.
Finally, we like the tool and recommended it to you to have in your toolbox if you need to repair or upgrade your gun. Maybe you feel that the price is too high for a simple tool (about $ 40 from retailers), but it’s a tool with good quality.
We have not compared this tool with other similar tools on the market, also our opinions based entirely on this product.
